And we're off...

School is back in full swing and boy have we been busy. Athena has been pretty worn out with going everyday, eventhough it is just until noon. I think I am going to get her back on a napping schedule, to prevent the afternoon tantrums. Ophelia is doing great, she loves her teacher this year, and the teacher she had last year for kindergarten is now the computer teacher so she gets to see her still once a week! That worked out pretty cool for her. So far I have just been trying to keep up with the 3 day a week work out up at the YMCA. I have been running on the treadmill 3 days a week for about a half hour, I am up to 2 miles in about 22 mins. for not ever being a runner I am very proud of that. I have also lost almost 10 pounds!!!

However I see my schedule getting a little crowded soon. I got a call yesterday from a women about the PTO. I wanted to get involved this year and they must have liked me a little because I am on the Apparel Committee, and they told me to come to the meeting tonight at 7:30 because they want to put me on the board! I am pretty excited. I will have to let you know what happens.....

First day of school

Ophelia was up and showering at 6:20am. Then it was down for breakfast and back up to get teeth brushed, dressed and hair done. She ended up with a little time to sit and watch a show before it was time to head for the bus! She was so excited and could not wait for the bus to come, and then off she went. Now I can not wait to see her around 4pm to see how her first day goes!!! One down and one to go, Athena has her meet the teach day tomorrow morning and she starts her Pre-K on Friday. She will be attending 5 days a week this year, I think she will have a great time!

Signs of Fall

Here we are the day before the first day of school. Ophelia is so excited to start 1st grade!! The bus will be here bright and early at 7:55am to pick her up, and she can not wait! And then Athena has her meet the teacher day on Wednesday morning, and off she goes to Pre-K on Friday. They are both pretty excited now all we have left to do is pick out the awsome back to school outfit!
